Every year, a lot of caring people called VOLUNTEERS gather food, toys, clothes, and other things that some people really need but don’t have. When we GIVE people the things they really need, it makes us feel happy and proud that we were able to HELP someone else. Gathering all those items together and giving is called PROJECT SHEPHERD.
It started out as just holiday presents and dinners, but there are so many caring people in LAKEWOOD who wanted to give, now Project Shepherd helps people all year long.
Hundreds of RESIDENTS, STUDENTS, AND LAKEWOOD BUSINESS OWNERS support the project with their gifts of food, toys, clothing and cash.
